How to automate functions in your BMW with Automate My Habits

With Automate My Habits, you can set rules in BMWs with Operating System 7. Like, if available, automatically activating steering wheel heating and seat heating or ventilation. You can also set automatic opening points for the driver window based on a location.

You can set up to 40 opening points by going to: “CAR”, “Settings”, “General settings”, “Personal assistant”, “Automate habits”. Select “Create new rule” and select between “Seat climate control” or “Power window”. Check the box “Function active” and click “Add activation point” in order to activate. Now approach the location in the way you are used to, position your vehicle where the window should be opened and click “Add activation point”. Every time you reach an activation point, the driver window will roll down completely. Due to safety reasons, the driver needs to manually close the window.

The BMW Driver’s Guide app specifically describes the equipment and functions included in the vehicle. The Owner’s Handbook is available as an app in many countries. You will find further information on the Internet at: https://www.bmw.com/bmw_drivers_guide
