I recently bought a car remotely from Alaska, and as you can imagine, it is not an easy process. Most dealerships I contacted weren't interested in spending time on a buyer who couldn't physically come into the showroom—including CarMax and even the dealers closest to me. Many refused to respond, and others wouldn't give me basic vehicle details.

Everyone at the dealership was great. Unfortunately the body shop they sent the car to to get a scratch fixed caused a door ding and I had to return again to have that fixed.

When my tire was punctured driving in St. Paul (large thin rusty strip of metal), I immediately called the dealership and let them know I’d be limping in (thank you, run-flats!). Great experience from start to finish with my new car. A huge shout out to my sales rep, Walker Wilkinson for providing outstanding service. Was interested in a used car, spoke with a sales rep about the vehicle at 10:45 am on a Friday, told the rep that I live an hour and a half away, would leave immediately to come see the car. Get 5 minutes from the dealership, the rep calls and says the vehicle was sold. Wasted 200 miles and 3 hours to see nothing. Crappy business practice to sell a vehicle when they know a customer is coming to look at it from a long distance. Will never give them another opportunity to get my business, neither should anyone else.
The deal ship was awesome. The car was ready and waiting for a test drive when I arrived. There was no pressure to buy and they were extremely pleasant and professional to work with. We ended up buying the car in part because of the excellent service and experience.
Let me start with this; how on earth does BMW Minnetonka have 5 stars as reviews on their website? I brought my BMW e46 M3 in for a diagnostic at BMW Braman Miami as my smg transmission did not want to shift. Don't waste your time buying a car here. I went in at 6:45 pm on 1/17/22 to buy a used car that i saw online. They informed me that they closed at 7 pm but their website stated they are open until 8 pm. Father bright vehicle in fo oil change and wheel balance. Was told it needed head gaskets replaced they can see the oil leak he knew there was a small drip, so (Toby assured us this was the problem and it was a very nice car)3000.00 later it was done and ready for the 80 yr old owner to pick up. Here we are 1 month later it is leaking a bigger puddle on the garage floor!! Update: On February 17, I posted a negative review of BMW’s service. WOWSERS!! Since then, BMW has made everything right by replacing the problem vehicle with a brand new SUV. The General Manager of BMW Minnetonka, the General Manager of BMW Motorwerks, Oliver Ravkin, New Car Sales Manager, and Alec at BMW America, worked their magic. If I could rate my experience at a negative 20, I would. in 2018 BMW got a class action lawsuit filed against them for all N63 engines. I was told that my car never had the Customer Care Package done- after a couple days of research on BMWs side ... so I said well let’s get that done and so I brought it in! Recently purchased a 2017 Honda Ridgeline from BMW Minnetonka. Josh Smith was the Sales Specialist. The truck was clean and in very good condition, the deal was very good and Josh was open/candid and easy to work with. All in all a great experience.

Unwilling to move on price, although listed price was fair. Took more time than I wanted to go through added options (ie fob insurance, warranty, etc). Did not have an interest in these packages. I called the sales manager Dan to make sure I got the best sales rep he had as I was so impressed with the sales rep when I bought my previous BMW at a different dealership (Motorworks). I really wish I were not writing this review; I wish I were praising the service department. I had the misfortune of having an accident with my 335xi the 7th of March. I had my vehicle towed here for an estimate and the repairs. So, 7.5 weeks later I still do not have my vehicle.

Best quality of customer service I’ve ever experienced. This one example is especially memorable. The day before my wife and her girlfriends were to drive my 640i X from Minneapolis to International Falls, something went wrong with the restraint system. This left it barely drivable but it needed immediate attention at the dealership. I took it to the service department hoping they could squeeze it in. I recently purchased a 2019 BMW X.3, and the specific car did not come with satellite radio as an option. I asked to salesman if satellite radio could be added and they both said no. My experience with the service department at this dealership has been atrocious. On at least 3 occasions the time it took to get something done has been well over double the time they said it would take. When I first bought my BMW X5 in January 2016, as soon as I drove off the lot I started having problems with it. My sales rep was nice and wanted to help me get it fixed at no charge, but his manager at the time was rude and nasty to me over the phone and told me "This is your problem" after only having the car for 2 weeks! Our first M car purchase went incredibly smoothly (2018 M3). From quickly accommodating us with getting the paper work done the day we were flying out of town to assisting with getting a winter tire setup put on quickly, this was another excellent experience with BMW of Minnetonka. This was my second vehicle purchase with Matt at BMW of Minnetonka and it was just as smooth and pleasant as the first. I purchased an 2018 BMW 2018 xDrive 30i from the dealership. The SUV included the convenience, driving assistance, driving assistance plus, premium and executive packages along with a trailer hitch, front ventilated seats, and Harmon Kardon surround sound. I chose them for 2 reasons, first to look at a 2013 Mercedes E series they had and I had never driven a BMW. I worked with Matt Liebig and had a great experience - hands down best among the various dealerships I visited. Everyone was helpful and friendly throughout the process, there was no sales pressure, and Matt was knowledgeable only in the way a car lover can be.
